Friday Favorites: A Simple Way to Invite Someone In
This week, I’ve been thinking about how simple it can be to make space for someone else in your home.

A Low-Key Way to Practice Hospitality
One of the easiest ways to practice hospitality is also one of the simplest:
Invite someone over for something you were already planning to do.
It might look like:
- Sharing a simple meal
- Sipping tea in the afternoon, watching the neighborhood go by
- Sitting on the couch for a quiet conversation
It doesn’t require extra preparation, just a small shift in mindset.
🫖 Simple Hosting Pieces
- Everyday dishes you already use
- A simple table setting
- Something warm (or cold!) to drink
Why I Love It
This approach takes the pressure out of hosting.
Instead of creating something separate or special, it allows hospitality to become part of your everyday life.
It feels more natural, which in turn, often feels more meaningful.
A Simple Way to Try This at Home
Think of one small moment in your week that you could share.
Instead of planning something new, simply extend an invitation:
“Would you like to join me?”
Start there.
